Administrative Officer

Requirements

– BA degree in management, business administration, finance and related fields

– Minimum of three years experience as an administrative officer (including in International Organizations operating in Africa, policy research organizations, civil society organizations, academic or media institutions)

– Strong organization skills and attention to detail

– Knowledge of the African union and other IOs operating in Africa is highly valuable,

– Knowledge of more than one AU working languages is desirable

– Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

– Plan and implement the dissemination of the research work of Amani Africa through the update of Amani Africa website and email communication

– Organize and manage a filing system for all the documents of the institution

– Distribute and document correspondence

– Oversee and track implementation of Amani Africa’s projects and financial performance through the preparation of program implementation plan, administrative and financial reporting

– Undertake human resource management functions by initiating team building activities, overseeing recruitment of staff, payment of salaries and tracking leave days, manage the recruitment and remuneration of short-term consultants

– Update organizational policies as needed

– Schedule and facilitate Amani Africa events

Contract Period

– The total contract period will be one year with the possibility of extension.
