IT, Communication and Media specialist

– Master’s degree in media and communication or any other related field

– Minimum of three years relevant experience in media and communication

– Knowledge of the African Union and/or other IOs operating in Africa, and preferably knowledge of more than one AU working languages

– Proficient in Microsoft Office, website management and social media platforms

– Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills


– Develop and implement Amani Africa’s social media and communication strategy

– Manage and establish active social media presence for Amani Africa’s and strengthen the institution’s external communication and outreach

– Advising Amani Africa on transforming its analysis into media relevant materials such as info-graphics, videos or any other tools

– Prepare and disseminate communication materials on the work of Amani Africa or on various research topics that the institution deems relevant through various social media outlets, online broadcasting, website content and press releases

– Establish and maintain a media database and establish partnership with media houses

– Take initiative and create platforms to promote the activities and the brand of Amani Africa

– In close collaboration with Amani Africa’s researchers manage the institution’s database and documentation

– Manage and update Amani Africa website

– Provide support and facilitate Amani Africa’s online seminars

Contract Period

– The total contract period will be one year with the possibility of extension.
