Nadia Nata, is an independent consultant in African peace and security and political analysis since 2019. For the past two years, she has worked for various Institutions such as the United Nations (UN), the African Union (AU), the European Union (EU) Commission, the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP), etc. Nadia previously worked as senior policy officer at the AU Commission’s Peace and Security Department from 2017 to 2018. Nadia Nata joined the Open Society Initiative for west Africa (OSIWA) in 2011 as Political governance program Officer for 5 years. Before, she worked as Avocats Sans Frontières-France (Lawyers Without Borders) Head of Mission in Abuja, Nigeria early 2011. Nadia steered ASF's efforts in supporting initiatives that seek to enforce human rights standards and strengthen rule of law principle. During all her career, Nadia has been a researcher, a civil society leader, and a policy and programme officer for various Institutions throughout the Continent. For the past 18 years, Ms. Nata has been engaged with multiple stakeholders and international organizations and has refined and proven her reporting and language skills in French and English. She is familiar with the logical framework approach and has a postgraduate diploma in management of Humanitarian Action and a Master´s degree in International and European Law.
