Guinea

Guinea has been a member of the PSC for two consecutive two-year term, elected in 2012 and 2014.

Membership years: 2012-14, and 14-16

Guinea was on the PSC's agenda consecutively from 2007 to 2011 and in 2015 in the context of political crisis, particularly the situation that ensued following the December 2008 coup d’etat and related efforts for restoration of constitutional order. In 2021, after an interval of six years, Guinea was put back on PSC's agenda following the September 2021 coup. The PSC is currently actively seized of the situation in Guinea, following up on the transition processes to return the country to constitutional order.
