Kenya has been on PSC's agenda in 2008, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019. In 2008, PSC considered the situation in Kenya in light of the tension and violence that erupted in the country in connection with the December 2007 election. In 2015 and 2016, the situation of refugees in Dadaab refugee camp drew the PSC's attention. In 2017, the PSC addressed concerns related to post-election developments in Kenya following the August 2017 elections. In 2019, PSC's engagement on Kenya was connected to maritime boundary dispute between Kenya and Somalia.
