South Africa

South Africa has been a member of the PSC four times for two-year term and once for three-year term, serving the PSC for a total of eleven years. South Africa is a current member of the PSC after its election in February 2022, effective as of 1 April 2022.

Membership years: 2004-07, 10-12, 14-16, 16-18, and 2022-2024

South Africa was on PSC's agenda once in 2019, in connection to xenophobic violence against African migrants in the country.
