Somalia has never been a member of the PSC.

Somalia is one of PSC's files that has been on its agenda starting from 2004, when the PSC was operationalised, to present time. The PSC has convened a number of sessions dedicated to Somalia each year since 2004, assessing evolving political, security and humanitarian situations in the country, with focal areas ranging from electoral processes to Al-Shabaab insurgency to operations of peace support missions in the country, including AMISOM and recently ATMIS.
