Sudan

Sudan has been a member of the PSC only once, and it has been absent since its two-year term ended in 2006.

Membership years: 2004-06

Since the PSC's inauguration in 2004 to present time, Sudan remains on the agenda of the PSC. Various issues of concern to Sudan's peace and security including the situation in Darfur, democratic transitions and military coups have been central areas of focus for the PSC in its engagement on Sudan.
